Leah's thoughts

Hi, I’m Leah and I go to High Close School and I love it here so, so much and I bet you will too. My behaviour now is really different from when I first came to High Close. I use to kick, bite, head-butt, punch and swear at people a lot, like every single day but now I know much better and don’t do that anymore. I am glad I don’t because I can now do a lot more stuff that I didn’t use to be able to do.

The staff here are really, really lovely and kind, thoughtful, forgiving and understanding. They also listen well and do their very, very best to help you out with whatever you want / need.

The young people are each different in their own ways and deal with things differently. With the staff and young people in the units it’s all like a big, happy family. When we all get along with each other it all makes it a lot easier to have a nice, happy, fun time here while you come to stay in the units.

I came at the start of year 5 and have been here 6 years and so I know that if any school is the one, then it’s 100% this one. Anyway I know that this school will make you feel 100% +1% welcome here in our school. If you need anything then the teachers are always here to help. They are always there when you need them.

In school the staff / young people work really, really hard but I would staff work harder than the pupils because they are always trying to make sure we always stay safe.
