What are timings of the school day?
Main School: Monday – Thursday (8.50 – 3.20 pm) Friday (1.40 pm) finish
Primary: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (9.00 – 3.00 pm) Wednesday (2.15 pm) Friday (1.40 pm) finish
How do I apply for a place for my child?
Unfortunately you can’t. Any referral must go through your Local Authority as all pupil placements are funded by Local Authorities.
Please contact your Local Authority if you would like to pursue your interest in High Close. They will be able to offer you guidance on the best provision to meet your child’s needs. Alternatively, you could contact your local Parent Partnership Service who can offer you advice and support.

Can I come and visit the school before a referral is made by the Local Authority?
Your Local Authority may suggest you do this to help inform your choices, however, all our resources are dedicated to the care of our young people and we do not have the staffing capacity to facilitate this. Hopefully, you will find the answers to many of your questions on this website. Once a referral has been made and we think we might be able to meet the needs of your young person, there will be opportunities for touring the school.
Who is the best person to contact about my young person?
The best person for day to day running is your child’s link worker (day unit) and key worker (residential unit). If you have any queries regarding academic work or class dynamics please also contact your child’s tutor.
Where can I park when I visit?
There is parking on site but it is limited during the school day. Please come to the school gate and press to speak to reception, if you can not find a place on site there are several roads nearby that you will be able to park on a walk into school
